Abstract

The aim of the present thesis is to provide a brief study of diseases as well as physical and emotional states whose denominations include a color adjective as a constituent element. The research is based on a comparative analysis of the Bulgarian and Spanish languages and seeks to clarify the reasons behind the emergence of such denominations, to determine the extent to which they coincide in both languages, and to examine the existing differences between them. Furthermore, the study explores the semantic and cultural connotations associated with color adjectives in both languages and their role in the conceptualization of health and emotional states.
