Abstract
This study examines the functioning of the pragmatic marker значи/дакле (mean) in the Bulgarian and Serbian languages. The semantics-pragmatics interface is related to the correlation of the marker management model and the syntagmatic structure of the rhetorical relations (e.g., text development/detailing, summary, evaluation, reformulation) that can be found between the individual
segments of the discourse.
