Abstract
In this article, one of the first poems belonging to the poetry from the period of the Bulgarian Revival, namely, Ode to Sofronij (1813) written by Dimitar Popski is analyzed. The objective of the investigation is to clarify the specificities of the paratextual elements, the themes and the swtructure of the poem, its genre characteristics, as well as outlining the poetic techniques, as embedded into the text.
