Abstract

Henri Raynal’s cosmophilia invites us to grasp the Whole/the Universe in all its diversity. Instead of disenchanting the world, science is a way to reach the Marvellous and the Enigma and poetry a form of relationship we share with the universe. Henri Raynal is then fighting against acosmism and its consequences: nihilism, relativism and all kinds of contemporary deconstructionism. To all this he opposes the obligation to testify, to admire, to participate to the Creation, to give back to the universe as a poet and a lover.

Key words: cosmophilia, universe, marvellous, enigma, nihilism, relativism, contemporary deconstructionism
