Abstract
The paper deals with madness as a result of the impossibility of building a harmonious inner world and cosy private space against the background of the national traumatic experience of three wars and two national catastrophes through the comparison between the stories “А Tiny World“ by George Raychev and “Small Sodom“ by George Stamatov.
