Abstract

This article analyzes the work of Yordan Radichkov on the grounds of nine texts translated into French that appropriately illustrate to non-speakers of Bulgarian the scope of his work, whose literary quality resides basically in putting forth a number of issues: metaphysical, social, cultural, anthropological as major question marks that are essentially an antidote to Stalin era fiction.

Key words: enigmatic, censorship, joyful pessimism, popular wisdom
