Abstract
This report oversees the online course in Bulgarian Language as a foreign language ‘I study in Bulgaria’, level B1, issue 2017 of collective authorship of teaching fellows, Medical University Varna. The ways for students to join the new and unfamiliar environment are being analysed. Subject of observation are the speech label, proper names, topos and phenomena, holiday culture, public life achievements that make an unobtrusive notion of Bulgarian space. The stress is on the means that Bulgarian language uses to convey cultural information, the peculiarities in presenting and problems foreign students face in understanding Bulgarian culture. Foreign language is viewed as a connection channel needed to realise cultural specifics and differences.
