Abstract

The object of this article is the French infinitive and its possible equiva-lents in the new Bulgarian language. The infinitive forms, resultative present and present tense, develop the formal and semantic opposition non-posteriority: pos-teriority within the morphological categories of taxis and conclusion. The num-ber of examples, extracted from fictional texts, are based on similarities and dif-ferences between the two language systems.

Key words: infinitive, resultative present: present, non-posteriority: posteriority, taxis, conclusion
