Abstract

In the conceptual frame of communicative grammar and with the help of elements of cognitive linguistics, the article argumentatively presents a methodology for mastering Bulgarian as a second language. The main idea is to get bilingual children aged 5–6 years to become proficient in a second language through the use of frame scripts, frame scenarios and games. An exemplary frame script titled Holidays and the corresponding to it frame scenarios Personal Holiday and Special Holidays are developed, as well as appropriate games needed in order to realize these.
