Abstract

This paper deals with clauses that express interference between concessive and qualificative semantics. Since adjectivity does not exclude adverbial semantics, under some specific syntactic and semantic conditions relative clauses can express concessive relations (as well as predicative appositive and some attribute – on the syntagmatic level).

Key words: relative clauses, concessive semantics
