Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to systematically show dialectical phraseological researches in Croatia as well as to present the most important conclusions obtained by fieldwork. There has recently been a lot of interest in Croatian phraseology. In order to preserve the phraseological corpus, it is important to collect phrases and phrasemes that can be found in the speech of older generations. Former researches have shown that passive lexical units mentioned above can be found only in the vocabulary of older examinees, while younger ones tend to replace an old phrase with its modern counterpart.
