Abstract
The following paper focuses on the personal names in the Bulgarian phraseological system. It examines linguistic units characterised not only by structural but also by lexical stability. An account is rendered for the predominance of anthroponyms, which represent a rich palette in the construction of similes as well as their significant uniformity in the rest of the phraseological groups.
