Abstract
The present study is looking for an explanation for the weak educational outcomes.
Trying to present its perspective on what is happening in teaching of Bulgarian literature at high school, it illustrates how modern research including methodological achievements are applied in modern literature teaching or why it is so difficult to apply them.
