Abstract
In the present report I review publications from the end of the 1930s and the beginning of the 1940s, in which a Bulgarian patriotic organization initiates the creation of a new image of Paisii Hilendarski. First, it is adequate to the historical data and on the other hand, it fits the notion created by the national mythology.
