Abstract
The contribution focuses on some hitherto unknown aspects in the Czech reception of the Bulgarian poet and dramatist Peyo K. Yavorov (1878–1914), related to the work of the literary historian, translator and publicist František Rut Tichý (pseudonym Zdeněk Broman; 1886–1968). Tichý’s translations of Yavorov’s works and literary-critical studies published in the revue Slovanský přehled are carefully analyzed. Moreover, in the contribution appear for the first time archival documents reflecting the Czech reception of Yavorov’s poetry (letters of Adolf Černý to Tichý) and perception of his dramatic destiny (the letter of Lora Karavelova-Yavorova to Tichý).
