Abstract

The aim of this research is to carry out contrastive analysis between Bulgarian and Spanish languages with respect to locative nouns (nomina loci). We will attempt to define the differences and similarities between the two languages subject to comparison and describe those suffixes which, when added to a nominal or verbal root, form locative nouns. We will direct our attention to the function and meaning of the suffixes; to the phonetic, morphological and semantic changes occurring in the respective nominal derivatives.

Key words: locative noun, suffix, lexematic structure
