Abstract

The article describes the changes in the receptive horizon in Bulgaria after World War I and their impact on the perception of literary avant-gardism. Focusing on the feeling of acceleration as epochal crisis and disorder Bulgarian spirituality as obstacles to adequate reception of avant-garde.
