Abstract

The article focuses on Yavorov’s unpublished letters that appeared on the pages of the September journal of the 1950s. In this research they are analyzed as documents used for the poet’s “rehabilitation”. They are studied as manipulatively censored and ideologically interpreted texts and as texts that were included in the later complete epistolary legacy of the authors. And finally, it appears that they can enrich and/or multiply the contemporary non-homogeneous notion of Bulgarian literary history.

Key words: Yavorov, letters, totalitarian reception, Bulgarian literary criticism, Bulgarian literary theory
