Abstract

Genre writing is examined in comparative terms (Genre fiction, Formula fiction) in contemporary Bulgarian novels. A comparison between the novel by José Rodrigues dos Santos “The Einstein Enigma” (God‘s Formula) and “The Sign of the Bulgarians” by Dimitar Nedkov establish basic differences between the perceptions of genre writing in Bulgarian and European practice.
