Abstract
The text is focused on the problems of the literary language in the newspaper ,,Tzarigradski vestnik“ during the National revival in the third quarter of the 19th century. Those decades are characterized by several things: accelerated construction of the literary language system, construction of a modern education system and the fight for an independent church. The newspaper during the years of its existence reflects the multicolored cultural and social life of the Bulgarian population. It poses important questions about the structure and function of the language, and the place of the foreign language in the development of Bulgarian literary language.
