Abstract
This article examines the concept of coherence as a constituting grotesque category of philosophical and aesthetic origin, which weaves a network of co-referential links, triggering an alternate, translatorial and transcendent sense continuum. Moving against the flow of cohesion, the coherent grotesque structure compensates the identifying flaw of the character, preserves the individual from the pressure of the Form and grants him a fruitful and harmonizing communication.
Key words: grotesque, language, cohesion, coherence, sense, communication, discourse, Form, sublimation
