Abstract
The relationship between the research works of two major Bulgarian scholars of the Bulgarian Revival period – Ivan Shishmanov and Jurdan Triphonov – presents a crucial problem for academics. Namely, the subject matter of the burnt valuable Bulgarian libraries. Through the observation of representative for the two scholars, studies the present investigation traces a set of similarities and dissimilarities in the interpretations of the question in hand. Of outstanding interest is the lost library of Neophyte of Rila.
