Abstract
Nikola Mihaylovski is best known in the history of the modern Bulgarian literary language as a co-founder, along with Ivan Momchilov, of the Tarnovo School of Linguistics and Spelling. His contribution to the formation of the epistolary style of the modern Bulgarian literary language has not been studied so far. The article examines his book „Малък Българский писмовник“ (Little Bulgarian Letter book), 1868. Histheories about the types of letters are presented. The etiquette of letter templates that he presents in his textbook is analysed, as is the specific terminology used.
