Abstract
The present article analyses graphic hybrids – new productive units in Russian written communication. The use of Latin graphemes in the structure of a Russian word is seen as a method of occasional word-formation. Great attention is paid to the role of graphic hybridization as a means of speech expressiveness in different discourse types.
