Abstract

The research object of the present text are feminine Bulgarian personal names derived from Roman cognomina. Our main aim is a presentation of a full list of these names including all their variants. Names are divided into several groups according to the type of the appellative used during the process of their formation, i. e. whether it is a noun, an adjective, a verb, etc., and according to the word-building model used during their derivation from a Latin personal name, i. e. whether it is derived from the working base or from the form for Nom. sg. of the Latin anthroponym.
Also worth mentioning, when that is possible, is the initial meaning of the observed name.

Key words: feminine Bulgarian personal name, Roman cognomina
