Abstract
Adverbs are lexemes that have a supposedly clear status in linguistics, but at the same time constantly exhibit features that make them a dilemma for linguists. Their evolution is interesting to study and, above all, many interesting features can be found in spoken speech, making them an intriguing object for research. The aim is to examine some more special cases related to their grammatical manifestations, as well as those that contradict their established status in the Bulgarian language. We are interested in whether there is formation of adverbs and to what extent they are a single class of lexemes.
Key words: adverbs, parts of speech, grammaticalization, Bulgarian language
