Abstract

Karel Šiktanc (1928) is one of the Czech writers who became a prohibited Czech author before the year 1989. His lyric fairy tales Královské pohádky (Albatros, 1994), O dobré a o zlé moci (Albatros, 2000), Hrad Svícen (Karolinum, 2009, 2017)and Hora Zlodějka (Karolinum, 2016) form a unique complex of poetic tales even though that some of them were created in a difficult time that was called forgotten time. They include a lot of songs, poems, poetisms and nelogisms that connect them to his poetry.
